Climate Scenarios and Community Visioning Workshops
- Engaging with city practitioners and community members to understand current state of urban design and how improvements to grey or green infrastructure will lead to long-term climate resilience and ecosystem service provisioning. Through interdisciplinary engagement, we are able to highlight areas of immediate concern to a variety of climate threats including sea level rise, tidal/storm surges, and social vulnerability to coastal flooding. - We are interested in developing a range of climate scenarios to explore how our current design protocol of stormwater control measures may be improved to support sustainability and resilience in a changing climate. Much of this work is centered on introducing natural or "green" elements into conventional grey (structural) infrastructure to increase biodiversity, surface-subsurface water interactions, and aesthetic qualities.
